Interested to be part of the EFPC Advisory Board?

Dear EFPC members,

For the upcoming EFPC General Assembly in Riga on the 4th of September we would like to invite members to come up with nominations for Advisory Board membership for the next 3 years. Deadline to respond: 12 August.

Three Advisory Board members, Niro Siriwardena, Giorgio Visentin and Marije Bolt have informed us to end their availability for different reasons. We thank them all for their devoted time and energy for the Forum.

The other Advisory Board members prolonged their membership for the next year (see below the current list of Advisory Board members).

According to the statutes the Advisory Board is composed of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 members of the Association, so we have room for three new members.

And also according the statutes “If members of the advisory board must be appointed, the executive board, or at least five other members of the association jointly, will prepare a nomination. The executive board must notify the members of the nomination at least two weeks before the general meeting during which the appointment is taking place.”

So please check the description of the role of an Advisory Board member and the nomination form which should be accompanied by an updated CV. Deadline for sending your nomination to the EFPC secretariat (info@euprimarycare.org) is August 12, 2016.

Two weeks prior to the General Assembly, the documents of the different candidates will be distributed among the EFPC members and at the General Assembly, Monday 4 September, 17.00h Riga time at the Latvian Society House, the voting will take place to appoint the new members of the Advisory Board.

We expect the candidates to be present in Riga and to be a paying member of the EFPC. In the end the EFPC Advisory Board should comprise a representation of the different professional groups, research and policy within Primary Care and a fine geographical, gender and age-related distribution.

Looking forward to receive your nomination forms!
