EFPC has an official link with the Cambridge University Press journal: Primary Health Care Research & Development. All our position papers, editorials and other articles are published in this  fully open access journal aimed specifically at both researchers and practitioners in primary health care, bridging the gap between primary health care research policy and practice. It provides a forum for the publication of international, interdisciplinary research and development in primary health care.

All EFPC members are invited to publish their research, policy and practice papers in the journal making sure the content will be very diverse as well from a geographical as from a professional viewpoint.

The European Forum for Primary Care was initiated in early 2005 by a group of interested parties from several countries. The aim of the Forum is to improve the health of the population by promoting strong Primary Care. This is done by advocating for Primary Care, by generating data and evidence on Primary Care and by exchanging information between its members. The Forum seeks to expand its membership and thereby to become a leading force for strengthening Primary Care in Europe.
