We are proud to have our former EFPC chair Jan De Maeseneer as one of the newly elected members of the American National Academy of Medicine (NAM)!

The election is regarded as one of the highest awards in the field of health and medicine and recognises people who have proven excellent professional performance and dedication to service.

 NAM has announced the names of all 100 new members, including 10 international members, on this October, 2019.

The National Academy of Medicine, founded in 1970 as the Institute of Medicine, is an independent organization of prominent professionals from various fields,including health and medicine and the natural, social and behavioral sciences.

Through its domestic and global initiatives, NAM seeks to address critical issues in healthcare, medicine and related policies and to encourage positive action in all sectors.

The National Academy of Medicine serves, in addition to the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering, as an adviser to the nation and the international community.
