By public transport from the airport
Directions by train from Brussels Airport to Ghent-Sint-Pieters train station (pronounced ‘Ghent Saint Peter’): the airport train station is located below the terminal (basement level-1). There is a direct train service to Ghent-Sint-Pieters station, at least twice an hour. Buy your ticket before entering the train. A single ticket, 2nd class, will cost €16,10. Getting from Brussels national airport to Ghent-Sint-Pieters station will take at least 1 hour.
By public transport from the train station ‘Ghent-Sint-Pieters’
When getting out of station Sint-Pieters in Ghent through the main front entrance (close to track 1, facing a little park), turn left towards the tram station. Go to platform 2, to take tram number 1 (every 6 minutes) towards ‘Wondelgem / Evergem’. Exit at ‘Korenmarkt’. The ride on the tram is around 10-15 minutes. Buy your ticket (€2,50) at the ticket machine on the platform. It’s a 5 minute (500m) walk from the tram stop at the Korenmarkt to the conference location of Het Pand.
By cab from the airport Brussels National Airport (Zaventem) to Ghent (Onderbergen): estimated fare of €103 and will take about 50 minutes.
By cab from ‘Ghent-Sint-Pieters’
Leaving the train station through the front main entrance, you will see ‘Koningin Maria Hendrikaplein’. You will find cabs on your right side. The estimated fare is about €12,50.
On foot from ‘Ghent-Sint-Pieters’
The train station is about 2,5km from the conference location. Walking from the station to the conference location takes about 30 minutes (see directions below).
Follow the parking signage to parking P7 Sint-Michiels. The parking is located 50 meters from Het Pand. Take the exit Onderbergen and you come out in the Wilderoosstraat, opposite Het Pand. Alternative parking is P8 Ramen. From here it’s about 5 minutes on foot to Het Pand.
With Blue-bike you can easily get from the train station to your final destination and back. Place your Blue-bike card on the card reader; the bike will be yours until you return to the station.
